Bryght 1 Alexander Style - Back in Gastown!

Blog
created on Wed, 2006-10-25 17:45

Back from vacation and in our new office, 1 Alexander, Suite 400. It rocks! My cameraphone picture above doesn't do justice to the space's bright lighting and cool airiness! And it's only going to get more beautiful once the lights are in and all of our furniture is in and all the renos are done!

Thanks to Kris for managing the move. Gastown's total déjà vu-doo :-) for me. A couple of years ago, I worked with E-xact who are just a few blocks away so I am familiar with Gastown but of course things constantly change especially the food scene. I'll post an update on the Gastown lunch scene over on VanEats soon!

Bryght's Ikea Assembler Martin of Assemble Now on Valleywag

Blog
created on Sun, 2006-02-05 19:35

I know we are in Vancouver and not in Silicon Valley but sometimes it sure feels like the Valley is world wide and Bryght is in the thick of it due to how fast stuff travels around due to RSS and this whole conversational Web 2.0 thing. Case in point: Kris videoblogged Martin of AssembleNow and how he made a website and with some voodoo old-skool SEO got his first customer in a couple of hours (Martin: we recommend compelling content constantly rather than voodoo SEO just in case you read this :-) !). Next thing we know, the Bryght Assemble Now Ikea Video  is Valleywagged (Valleywag is the just started Silicon Valley gossip blog from the Nick Denton Gawker empire. Hey Vancouverite, how about a Vancouver version?). Hey we're not in Silicon Valley but yeah Martin, we 100% agree with the Valleywagsters: you need to franchise to the Valley; there's tons of Web 2.0 startups there who are too lazy and don't have the time to assemble their furniture!
