created on Mon, 2006-09-11 10:13 Last weekend I was blessed with an amazing opportunity to photograph His Holiness the Dalai Lama. HHDL was in Vancouver for the innoguration of the World Center for Peace and speaking about Cultivating Happiness to a large crowd at GM Place.

Armed with my trusty Canon and some of the lenses I share with my great friend kk, I had the amazing opportunity to snap some pictures during the event.

Before the event, the Dalai Lama was presented with an Honorary Canadian Citizenship (only the 3rd to be given in the history of Canada)

After listening to him for just over 45 minutes and feeling rejuvenated, I took advantage of my "all access" pass and waited for him backstage.

It was amazing to feel his holiness' presence as he made his way through the small group of children, city officials and RCMP officers on Duty.

A common acquaintance: The Dalai Mama was blessed by HHDL... I was glade to capture the moment for her.

Having experienced this first hand, I now understand why people love the man, I am still feeling his presence and energy. My best wishes on this 5th year memorial of the 9/11 attacks: Peace, Love and Happiness for everyone.
