Miss 604 - Rebecca Bollwitt
Miss 604 - Rebecca Bollwitt
Vancouver's newest 'blogebrity' steps into the social media spotlight with a fresh design

No useless navel-gazing blather on this blog, Miss 604 is a living textbook about producing and promoting a hyper-local blog. Since 2004, Rebecca Bollwitt has served up an vast and compelling assortment of Vancouver activities, activist missives, girlie reflections and techie narratives.
Raincity's job was easy for all of us except wonder-designer Hubert who carefully crafted Rebecca into a multi-purpose illustration and colour scheme which steps up her logo to match her stylish reputation. The finished drawings work as well for print for easy merchandising to her eager audience and reflect a very Vancouver-ish palette and tableau.
While building her following, she's remained true to her roots by supporting numerous charitable causes from Surrey Memorial Hospital “Tulips for Tomorrow” to Skate for a Cure. As a true local, she knows the hidden shops, best restaurants, emptiest parks and the historical tidbits others miss out on.
Now very much on the radar of mainstream media, Rebecca shows up in print, radio and TV commenting on blogging culture, Canucks hockey and slices of Vancouver life. Canadians may have noticed her on CBC's Test the Nation #3 while others might have caught her nomination for Wired's cutest geeks.
The multi-purpose Miss is also the default Vangroovy live blogger and social media calendar keeper. Clearly passionate about new media and music, she appears on podcasts - Radio Zoom with husband John (sorry fellas) and a rabble of hockey pundits on The Crazy Canucks.
For a Vancouver-specific blog without the snarky cynicism and/or crusty critique, check out Miss 604. She is indeed one to watch and we think even more watchable with Hubert's charmingly crafted design.
