Darren Barefoot asked us to take on the design for his new blog, hot on the heels of Just a Gwai Lo. Darren, a notable figure in the Blogosphere, requested an irreverent feel and warm colours.

Unique Challenge:

Geeky Traveller had a challenging timetable of merely three weeks from conception to delivery.

Post-Mortem:

An
offhand suggestion to feature a hitchhiking robot was the initial
launching point for the first design draft. The second was a more
personal experimentation.

The final decision was based on the second idea with a combination of elements from the two drafts.

We carried the lessons learned with Richard Eriksson
to Darren’s blog, simply in an accelerated manner. The communication
process was handled entirely digitally, by email, fax (for the design
questionnaire), and with Basecamp our online project management system.
