Robert Scales Takes Up Teaching
BlogEl Presidente to "Sir?"...
Scales is swingin' full tilt at Raincity, as per the usual, but has recently added a teaching gig to his plate, stepping in to instruct a course at the Vancouver Film School.
Starting in January, for one evening a week, the Entertainment Business Management class at the VFS will benefit from Robert's experience and knowledge in website management and development. The course will cover material from site planning to e-commerce to preparing a business case for a website.

BlogRaincity's Wish List...
We hope you have a safe and happy holiday season! And some yummy treats too...
Jeremy Hubert: A Vacation. He's still trying to find some time to use the scuba sessions his parents gave him for his birthday... IN AUGUST! And books, always books.
Erik Hermans: Wifi at home and a stopper for the sink - preventative measures.
Megan Cole: Fuzzy Socks, a large warm quilt and books, books, books. Oh, a 5D wouldn't go astray either.
China Access in Vancouver: Scales and Krug
BlogHead Down To The Morrissey Tonight For Some Roundtable China Chat and Pints
Scales and kk+ will be conducting a casual roundtable chat this evening at the Morrissey Pub on Granville St. at about 5pm. They'll be sharing their experiences on their latest trip to China which wrapped up about a month ago, speaking about the business connections and relationships they formed and about the first BarCamp in China, BarCampShanghai.
Find The Morrissey Pub here.
The gathering will continue after 6pm with any new media types who want to get together to connect, an event that has been happening regularly every second Friday of each month. Come down and join in on the conversations and meet some new and old friends alike.

BlogNewsForge: More On BarCamp
Bruce Byflield of NewsForge joined our group at BarCampVancouver last week-end. As it turns out, he had a pretty swell time: met some good people, was thoroughly impressed with the organization, learned a lot, was intellectually stimulated, and seemed to have had some fun along the way.
You can read his article in its' entirety online here. In it, Bruce highlights some of his positive experiences, while suggesting on how the Camp might improve as well.
