Blog-ster vs Art-ster
Having both a fine arts and a new media background, on Feb 21st I attended Moose Camp hosted by Northern Voice at UBC during the day and Fuse at the Vancouver art gallery during the night. It was here I got to observe these two cultures close at hand. Just like Dian Fossey and the Gorillas, I couldn't help but to compare the males of these species.

Coffee is coming out of my nose ...
I am laughing so hard! My goodness Corinn, your talents run deep. Dian Fossey would be impressed by your observations though feel like i need my own character stuck inbetween the two ;-).
wow, amazing. i
wow, amazing. i unfortunately ride that fine line between both of these species so i feel twice as bad as either side. :) nice work.
awesome
Excellent - reads like something out of a text book. Well done.
Fun
Also reminds me of The Hipster Handbook or "Signs You're a Hipster: You spend much of your leisure time in bars and/or restaurants with monosyllabic names like Plant, Bound or Shine." Funny cause it's true.
Love this comparison
Love this comparison Corinn! Far too funny!
Especially enjoyed the observation of impotence as being a "symptom" of both groups! And to think I was about to write something flattering about the boys of Northern Voice. Will definitely have to make reference to this article in it.
Thanks for starting my day off with a chuckle!
Emme
XD ha
Wow, I'm sure if I *had* been drinking coffee I'd have coffee coming out of my nose... but instead I'm just falling over laughing. I *also* come from an arts background, this is disturbingly accurate.
Dang
That's hilarious. I'd love to see the blog-ster compared to other subspecies of human.
hahahaha this is fabulous.
hahahaha this is fabulous.
i know generalizations are
i know generalizations are wrong - BUT you've pinpointed the numerous characteristics that make going to Emily Carr such a worthwhile experience....the variety astounds me!
(seriously, if i could only count the hankerchiefs, anklebiters and fashion-savy mullets)
= P
The real question is which
The real question is which of these types of people piss you off the most.
haha fuckin a
i wonder how much overlap there is between the two species. this is a good list.
Proof read much? This was
Proof read much? This was mildly funny in areas... but come on - "music you haven’t event heard of"? (you mean - haven't EVEN heard of)... Also you have "finding a colour darker then black" (you mean - darker THAN black)
Your character descriptions were mildy funny like I said, but the artsy type sounds a little more emo than artsy.... most artsy people are not even close to emo although you have identified SOME of the funnier stereotypes. Same with the blog-ster - more nerd or geek than blog-ster ... blog-sters are more characterized by having no life or a boring life rather than just geekdom.
